Additional Contractor Classification(s) To Your License

We are here to help, we will process the application and provide you with the trade study kit. If it is a C-61, no further test is required for the same qualifier.

We have found that it is sometimes necessary for you to hold multiple classifications to cover all the contracted work. There is no limit as to how many classifications you may hold. You must meet the minimum requirements for each one. Please refer to our license classification list.

With over 30 years in the industry, we know we can professionally assist you in any classification.

If no new license is required, there will be no new bond or license fee required.

You have the option of separating your classifications with different license numbers at the time of the filing, or just adding it to the same number you already hold. We will discuss this with you before processing.

Experience Requirements

At least four years of experience is required to qualify to take the examination. Credit for experience is given only for experience at a journey level or as a foreman, supervising employee, contractor, or owner builder.

A journey level person is one who has completed an apprenticeship program or is an experienced worker, not a trainee, and is fully qualified and able to perform the trade without supervision.

A foreman or supervisor is a person who has the knowledge and skill of a journey level person and has the knowledge and skill of a journeyman and directly supervises physical construction. A contractor is a person who managed the daily activities of a construction business, including field supervision. An owner-builder is a person who has the knowledge and skills of a journey level person and who performs work on his or her property.

All experience claims must be verified by a qualified and responsible person, such as a homeowner, an employer, fellow employee, other journey level person, contractor, union representative, building inspector, architect or engineer.
